Fistula Brush


Special brush for preparation of the fistula tract, removal of tissue, debris and abrasion of the fistula tract.

 

Use Of The Fistula Brush

Proctological instrument for probing, cleaning and debridement of anorectal fistulas.

 

The Fistula Brush can be used to probe the fistula tract to clean the fistula tract and remove fistula epithelium. This promotes obliteration of the fistula tract. The Fistula Brush consists of a semi-flexible wire with a brush section in the middle, an eyelet on the one and a probing olive at the other end.

 

Handle

The handle is used for guiding an instrument or a telescope during diagnosis and / or treatment of a fistula channel. Handles are designed for short-term use in surgically invasive procedures.

 

Outer sheath

Outer sheaths are used together with a handle to guide the fistula brush in endoscopic

fistulectomy. Outer sheaths are designed for transient use in surgically invasive procedures.

 

Indications

The use of instruments for an endoscopic fistulectomy is indicated if diagnosis and / or

treatment with a fistuloscope is indicated in the opinion of the responsible physician.

Anal fistulas, in some cases specifically:

Cryptoglandular anal fistulas

Complex fistulas

Anal fistulas with Chron's disease

 

Pilonidal sinus, in one case specifically:

Chronic, non-recurrent pilonidal sinus
